(Deck Description being updated, there's a lot of things you could sub out to lean a different way if you wanna reanimate something big or play roots, various other mentions will be added later) This version was just the most consistent version so far
Abzan Enchantments:
Keywords in text: this turn/A Graveyard
The former being why Heliod, Radiant Dawn is in the list for cast spells as though they had flash (Aside from cost reduction and fetching an enchantment on entry) Probably entirely unnecesary, but its come up in quite a few games suprisingly.
The latter being why i have, in another iteration ran more discard than Victor himself. I excluded it bc the aura package is pretty tight and the auras I know of all let them choose what to discard. Though you'd be suprised how many people dont bother reading victor's text and just discard something they want to reanimate next turn xD
Errieta really comes in clutch in standoff heavy matches.
Calix is Calix...
Defiled Crypt//Cadaver Lab
This is a very strong card for us, more valuable cast to unlock the 4C side. This is Victor's Roots (Funny enough I ran roots in a very similar list. It wasnt too bad, as it fits the archetype but ultimately I removed it for further iterations)
Keywords:
Defiled Crypt -
This side makes 2/2 enchantment creature tokens
Once each turn (much like Victor, can be triggered your's an opponents turn. The enchantment creature(s) that enter will trigger victor. I use flipped Heliod for this, during opponents turn you can snatch things out of their graveyard with victors third trigger. feel free to expirement with other ways!)
When one or more cards leave your graveyard (Walk in closet with fabled passage goes a long way here toward triggering during your turn)
Cadaver Lab - is best unlocked after defiled crypt but realistically, throw it down if you need to. Thats why we run four copies, amongst other things.
If we arent fetching a calix/auras from the grave with heliod mid game, this if graveyard is ripe, is often the card to grab. If it isnt yet then Overlord of the Balemurk is a great choice.
Just a few tips for those that may not know.
A role token (like Spellbook Vendor or Spiteful Hexmage
produces)will replace other role tokens on target creature (There can only be one on each creature!) Try to give Optimistic Scavenger
Spiteful Hexmage's Cursed role token, or Apply spellbook vendors Sorcerer role token to spiteful hexmage to get rid of his Cursed Role.
When Rooms are Copied, each side will be locked, waiting to be unlocked. Be careful if you decide to copy them if your planning to use your mana elsewhere.
Overlord of the Balemurk however, when impended version is copied, will be copied as a creature (and have summoning sickness).
Lastly for now, IF your considering unlocking the other side of walk in closet//forgotten cellar (we really only need walk in closet side) just remember the cellar is forgotten for a reason, its way too expensive just to get access to cast things from your graveyard. Opponent can also use the turn you unlock it against you as anything that would be put in your graveyard that turn gets exiled instead.
