This Landfall Aggro deck in 2022 Standard is pretty self-explanatory! We play lands, then we swing in! Creatures that allow us to do this effectively include Brushfire Elemental
, Akoum Hellhound
, and Skyclave Geopede
. These 3 creatures themselves could make up the entire deck as they can be played super fast and when boosted can deal big amounts of damage early! They also go great with Skyclave Pick-Axe
, as it just boosts their power and toughness even more when a land is played!
In order to effectively get lands onto the battlefield as quick as possible, we have Cleansing Wildfire
, Emergent Sequence
, Roiling Regrowth
and Vastwood Surge
.
Our alternate win condition includes Scute Swarm
! Scutey-Boi, as I like to call him, creates so many 1/1 tokens quickly with all of our "land-fetcher" cards, that pairing him with Raid Bombardment
doubles the damage output when swinging in with a bunch of these small insects!
Evolving Wilds
is a crutial addition to this deck, because it essentially allows us to play 2 lands for free, since we get the initial ETB buff, and then the Sacrifice and return ETB buff!
