Learn more Download App nowIn this Innistrad Zombies deck, we are playing a bunch of zombies, and then wrecking the opponents face in with them! Oh you want specifics? Fiiiiiiiiine…. ;)
The deck is built around Narfi, Betrayer King, and all of his zombie synergies. Narfi is an amazing card, because he allows us to return him from the graveyard directly to the battlefield for only 3 snow mana! This means if the opponent is playing a discard deck, we can discard Narfi, and play him as soon as turn 3!
Another cool synergy the deck showcases is the Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia and Death-Priest of Myrkul combo together with our Champion of the Perished. The great synergy with the combo comes mostly with Jadar’s ability to create a decayed zombie every end step that we don’t control any decayed zombies. This decayed ability sacrifices one of our creatures every time we swing in (ideally every turn), which triggers Death-Priest’s ability, and we can pay 1 to create a skeleton token. With the decayed ability triggering from Jadar’s zombies, we get a counter on our Champion of the Perished every single turn. This is why Jadar works so well with each of these creatures!
Other than trying to get counters onto our Champion of the Perished using Falcon Abomination and Diregraf Horde, we are just trying to beat-down the opponent as fast as we can. Using creatures like Ebondeath, Dracolich and Grim Drauge, we attempt to get past the opponent's defenses and get some damage at the face. We also have Bladestitched Skaab which buffs our zombies early to help get more damage at the face.
The key to our deck is all of the removal that we have. To highlight a few, we have Blood on the Snow, which is perfect as it clears the board (allowing us to use both Narfi and Ebondeath’s abilities), and we can return a creature from the graveyard to the battlefield. Of course we have simpler direct removals such as Bloodchief’s Thirst and Feed the Swarm, as well as Poison the Cup.
That’s the specifics of the deck! We are trying to make zombies, buff our zombies, remove the opponents creatures, and then swing in at the face!
I showcased this deck on my YouTube @BrosephMTG, and you can check it out through the link/video provided with the deck list! Enjoy and have a freaking fantastic day!!
Hey what's up guys - It's your bro Joe and welcome to my Aetherhub! I have had a few YouTube channels in the past posting new, exciting decks for Magic the Gathering and MTG Arena. Recently I have started a new, and main, channel called Sleepy Joe (@imsleepyjoe). While I plan on posting content other than MTG Arena on that channel, I will have nearly daily decks coming out on my new favorites in Standard as well as other formats (probably...). If that is something you are interested in, you can go check me out at Sleepy Joe on YouTube. If that's not your thing, no worries! You keep having fun playing Magic :)
