This deck is built as a high level competitive Control/Combo deck. Control the board with counterspells/Cyclonic Rift effects until you can amass your win con.
Win cons in the deck include:
Flash + Protean Hulk
Pretty straightforward. Just Flash in Protean Hulk and do not pay for it to stick around. Let it die and grab your pieces.
- Targets for Hulk trigger -
1. Vigean Graftmage, Incubation Druid, Torch Courier - Move counter from Graftmage to Druid and sac Courier for infinite tap/untap with Druid for blue and use Kenrith to mill opponents out.
2. Laboratory Maniac + Spellseeker / Spellseeker + Thassa's Oracle - Grab Tainted Pact or Demonic Consultation to deck yourself and win with Lab Maniac draw or Thassa's Oracle trigger. (Note: If you use Thassa's Oracle, be sure to stack the triggers so Spellseeker resolves first, then play Pact/Consultation before Thassa's ability resolves to mill and win. If you're doing it this way I would always suggest to mill the entire library to avoid opponents removing enough blue devotion for your combo to not work.)
Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter
Cast Scepter and imprint Reversal. There are a couple of ways to go off with this combo, but most common strategy is to net infinite blue mana to mill opponents with Kenrith. You can also net infinite green mana and at least one red to pump Kenrith, give him trample, and swing out for commander damage. This is best against one opponent. You must have enough and proper colored mana dorks/rocks to net infinite blue or green when you go off. Do not jump the gun and play Isochron early before your pieces are in place. 99% of the time it'll get removed.
