This Article is for all the Life Gain Enthusiast!
As some of you may know I love my Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin
and I usually based my decks around this particluar card. In the past I would use Krenko in my red aggro deck with the win condition to over power my opponent with countless 1/1 goblin tokens partnered with Cavalcade of Calamity
but we will save that deck for another article.
Today we will dive into a deck that centers around these 3 cards.
Make sure your opening hand has Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin Impassioned Orator
Daxos, Blessed by the Sun Mirror Shield
First you will need to place down an Impassioned Orator or an Daxos, Blessed by the Sun on turn 2 since they both cost two mana. In this deck you will have enough copies to guarantee to have atleast one of the two in your opening hand.
Then on turn 3 you will be able to place down your Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin and gain 1 life due to placing down a creature because of Impassioned Orator or Daxos, Blessed by the Sun.
Turn 4 and 5 you want to make sure you cast Heliod, Sun-Crowned because evrytime you gain life you add a 1/1 counter to a target creature, which in this case will be Krenko. You keep adding counters to krenko for each token created because each token gains you life because of Impassioned Orator and Daxos, Blessed by the Sun on the board.
I placed Mirror Shield in this decklist to protect Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin from anything deathtouch and any sorcery that will target Krenko because Mirror Shield will give the equipped creature Hexproof. Once Krenko is equipped with Mirror Shield it's pretty much game. I like to be fancy and maybe add Angelic Gift
to give Krenko Flying so he can't be block by creatures without flying or Angelic Exaltation
to add on to the process of creating Goblin Tokens. Usually by this time they usually give up and concede the match.
