are some powerful planewalkers that I wanted to take advantage of by playing all them. I don't know if 2x of each is a good number, but everytime I see any of them I'm pleased because they all do tremendous work for me! This deck is powerful, has answers all across the board for all situations. The scapeshift deck can be shut down with using Assassin's Trophy
and the sb card Legion's End
to snap away all their zombies. I don't really know how that deck wins if they can't reliably combo off for a OTK against us.
This deck plays well against agrro decks esecially after game one when we bring in extra removal in the form of Flame Sweep
Legion's End and Ritual of Soot
. Having a threat that can dramatically alter the game from T4+ for us is major. It may look awkward now, but there's no better feeling to see my opponent run out of gas and have a couple threats on board as we drop a Biogenic Ooze
giving us two 3/3s. Feels good. The Nightpack Ambusher
develops multiple creatures over the game if left unchecked as do Liliana and Nissa.
Control against us is a little messy. We tend to grind them out because we have answers to all the threats they play. Duress
Noxious Grasp
and Veil of Summer
feel pretty good in any blue matchup. That's also why I'm strongly considering playing 2-3 copies of Shifting Ceratops
out of the sideboard. Further testing will help!
