Cast Trophy Mage
and use it to tutor for Portal of Sanctuary
. Then, cast & use the Portal of Sanctuary to bounce the Trophy Mage, then cast it again (over and over) to pull out three Powerstone Shard
s, then the Cogwork Assembler
.
Once you have on the battlefield three Powerstone Shards, four lands & a Cogwork Assembler, you can execute the infinite combo:
1) Tap all three Powerstone Shards to add nine colorless mana. Spend seven of that mana to use Cogwork Assembler's ability to create a Powerstone Shard token. You'll have two colorless mana remaining.
2) Tap your new Powerstone Shard token to add four colorless mana; now you'll have six colorless mana. Tap one land for a seventh mana, then spend it to create another Powerstone Shard token.
— Lands you've tapped so far: one.
3) Tap your new Powerstone Shard token to add five colorless mana. Tap two lands for two additional mana, then spend it to create another Powerstone Shard token.
— Lands you've tapped so far: three.
4) Tap your new Powerstone Shard token to add six colorless mana. Tap a land for one additional mana, then spend it to create another Powerstone Shard token.
— Lands you've tapped so far: four.
5) Tap your new Powerstone Shard token to add seven colorless mana. Spend the mana to create another Powerstone Shard token.
— No further need to tap lands.
6) Tap your new Powerstone Shard token to add X colorless mana. Spend the mana to create another Powerstone Shard token. Repeat this step any number of times; each time X will be one more than the last time (starting from eight). This means that however mana Powerstone Shard tokens you control, you'll have ((N² + N) ÷ 2) mana, where N is the number of Powerstone Shards tokens you've created minus four.
7) With the endless supply of mana you have access to, create any number of Cogwork Assembler tokens.
8) Attack with the overwhelmingly large number of Cogwork Assembler tokens and win the game.
