Ah good evening Magic Mudslingers! It has been a while for sure, with school ending and a trip to visit family in Texas, things have been insanely busy in my house and thus, not a lot of time for MTG Arena. That and my laptop has decided that running Arena is not a priority and frequently crashes it at unnecessary and inconvenient times, thus playing the game has been a bit tedious and quite frankly frustrating as hell. However, with the release of Core Set 2020, I have brewed this rather spicy deck involving everyone's new favorite card: [[Risen Reef]]. Basically, this deck aims to throw down elementals as fast as humanly possible while trying to ramp at the same time. It is a midrange Temur tribal build, different than others i have seen on YouTube. I love this deck. It is fun. F-U-N, FUN!

Onto it: [[Lightning Stormkin]] is our hasty flying lightning in a bottle, [[Growth Spiral]] gives us draw and ramp, and [[Runaway Steamkin]] is justified here due to the amount of red we are running. Now here is where I go a bit off the beaten path, many of the Reef builds I have seen have focused mainly on getting creatures down as fast as possible, in fact that has been the only focus of these decks. I throw in [[Ionize]] and [[Sinister Sabotage]] for some counter action. This addition has really given me the crucial edge in some games. [[Risen Reef]] is of course the focus of the deck while [[Living Twister]] gives us some interesting options and is beefy to boot. [[Omnath, Locus of the Roil]] is an amazing beast of a card despite being a 3/3. His power is just freaky and synergizes so well with Reef. [[Chandra, Novice Pyromancer]] beefs up our elementals, ramps, and [[Shocks]]. [[Cavalier of Thorns]], whoa boy, this is a beefy boi. Yes, the effect is somewat geared towards graveyard manipulation but it gives us a nice ramp. [[Nissa, Who Shakes the World]] is likewise a sweet addition to this deck with her latent ability plus the adding of more elementals to our board. [[Chandra, Awakened Inferno]] is another monster one-of in this build since she can board wipe any non-mirror match. Great card. Sideboard gives us some flexibility with [[Cindervines]] and [[Negate]] against Esper matches, [[Lava Coil]] against aggressive builds, and [[Return to Nature]] against artifact and enchantment-heavy builds.

ADVANTAGES: 1) The synergy among the moving parts in this deck is incredible, best I have seen in a long time 2) It has flexibility and ramp to compensate for poor draws, the London Mulligan has been a godsend for this deck, and 3) It is fun with capital letters!

DISADVANTAGES: 1) Not a ton of early draw in this deck aside from the Spiral, which can hamper our development in the case of mana screw 2) No early removal even though we are playing Red, Chandra has to hit the board to really wipe out our opponent and 3) mirror matches are rough for us as we have to rely on te counters to keep their threats off the board instead of playing our own elementals.

Overall, this is a fun deck that is a nice twist on some elemental builds I have seen. I love it and once I get my computer up to snuff, I am going to take it to ranked and see how it does. Until next time, may your draws be God-like and may each spell hit the board. Good hunting!

Blakeizen, Omnath is really not a centerpiece so he has been very good so far. The supporting role is just right for him as I save up my Mythics! Thanks for the like, I am going to do a video on this one soon!
Blakeizen
I'm really enjoying the inclusion of Lightning Stormkin with Cindervines in the side, and it's making me want to revisit my list a bit. The Omnath count seems low though, how has he been in this list?
