{{Rule of Law}}

{{Scheming Symmetry}}

{{Teferi, Time Raveler}}

  • With [[Rule of Law]] and [[Teferi, Time Raveler]], we can hard-lock our opponents into playing, at most, exactly one card per turn, and only on an opponent's main phase. Since we run counterspells, we don't allow our opponent to play anything. Ever. Because our opponent's are locked down, the downsides of [[Scheming Symmetry]] are negated. We don't care what our opponents are going to pick because we'll just counterspell it.

  • We run [[Devious Cover-Up]] to return our [[Scheming Symmetry]] and counterspells to our deck and repeat the process until your opponent forfeits, runs out of cards, or dies from lethal creature damage.

We run 18 blue sources of mana

We run 13 white sources of mana

We run 13 black sources of mana

(we don't want to play [[Scheming Symmetry]] on turn one unless absolutely necessary)

Man please, stop using drugs.
Who keeps voting this up? Trash deck. Give it up already. Its not gonna be good no matter how many shill accounts upvote it.
Another fun interaction with scheming symmetry is Ashiok. His ability negates the opponent searching their library. Probably one of my favorite interactions in the whole set.
POS deck. Don't bother. Nothing to see here folks. Move along.
Doesn´t really work in the actual Meta imo.
Little Teferi on the field and your whole gameplan falls. Too much early aggro, same...
Trash deck. Played it for hours on ladder (gold 1) and found it utterly underwhelming. Very slow and struggles to answer threats. Complete waste of my time and my 4 rare wildcards (for scheming symmetry which otherwise wouldn’t see any play). Forget it and move on.
I don't usally like esper, but i actually quite like this build
Sideboard recommendations
x2 Kaya’s Wrath
x2 Tyrant’s scorn
x1-2 the wanderer
x2 oath of kaya
x2 vraska’s contempt
x3-4 duress
The deck as it stands is setup to compete with control mirrors, so against aggro I’d take out the narsets, most of the counters and a guardmage or two.
i really like this deck idea, what would you consider for a sideboard in BO3? I find very quick agro decks roll me fast.

how do you play this deck I do not understand mechanics
