ESPER RULE OF LAW CONTROL

  • With Rule of Lawimage and Teferi, Time Ravelerimage, we can hard-lock our opponents into playing, at most, exactly one card per turn, and only on an opponent's main phase. Since we run counterspells, we don't allow our opponent to play anything. Ever. Because our opponent's are locked down, the downsides of Scheming Symmetryimage are negated. We don't care what our opponents are going to pick because we'll just counterspell it.

  • We run Devious Cover-Upimage to return our Scheming Symmetryimage and counterspells to our deck and repeat the process until your opponent forfeits, runs out of cards, or dies from lethal creature damage.

We run 18 blue sources of mana

We run 13 white sources of mana

We run 13 black sources of mana

(we don't want to play Scheming Symmetryimage on turn one unless absolutely necessary)

Ral, my comment was for Jamoke and his useless deck. Yes Ashiok runs perfectly with Simmetry, I'm sure you can make a better functional deck. Personally i play a bant Law and prefer to play Raveler and flash spells. It runs surely better

Not sure what the hate on this deck is for? Its a fun way to play Rule of Law and to try and make Scheming work in standard. It never seems like it was never meant to be a Tier 1-2 deck. I've played it in constructed events and gold and have had some success and a blast playing it. One thing I changed was I went to 2 Scheming and added a bit more counter. Also traded out a Guardmage or two for a Deputy of Detention. It seems to curve better as the Guardmage also felt a bit late.
Ral
how am i incompetent i explained that ashiok wont effect scheming symmetry becuase you control the spell

You're an "incompetent", get out of this community please.

Using Ashiok, Dream Render will not work her ability states "Spells and abilities your Opponents control can't cause their controller to search their library."

Another fun interaction with scheming symmetry is Ashiok. His ability negates the opponent searching their library. Probably one of my favorite interactions in the whole set.

POS deck. Don't bother. Nothing to see here folks. Move along.

Doesn´t really work in the actual Meta imo.
Little Teferi on the field and your whole gameplan falls. Too much early aggro, same...

Trash deck. Played it for hours on ladder (gold 1) and found it utterly underwhelming. Very slow and struggles to answer threats. Complete waste of my time and my 4 rare wildcards (for scheming symmetry which otherwise wouldn’t see any play). Forget it and move on.
