FNM At Home What decks to play?

Decklists Event
By: andreliverod - 03 Apr 2020

This Friday we get an event where you have access to all the cards in the game!

With access to all the cards in the game, what decks should you try out? Let us explore the Tier 1 Meta and the top-performing decks in Best of 1. All decks here are gathered from top-performing decks from users of MTGA Assistant. We will have a metagame summary page of all of these decks available soon, right now we are doing the final touches before releasing it.

Mono-red is the most popular archetype BO1, the combination of being one of the cheaper decks and your win/loss comes quick meaning you can play a huge amount of matches in a short timespan. We start off with two monored decks, both build around Torbran and Embercleave with the difference being the spells in the 1-3 CMC range.

Another popular mono-colored deck in standard is the arch-enemy of mono-red the life gaining mono-white deck, right now this is the second most popular deck in Arena Standard:

Let us continue with the theme of mono-colored aggro decks by going to black.  A bit more midrange spice in this compared to red and white. This deck has a high win rate in the upper ranks of the ladder right now

A bit more aggro before we head over to the other archetypes. Rakdos aggro has done well and the same has Mardu, if you are an aggro player and haven't had the chance to try these decks out we recommend you do!

Rakdos is something you might have seen on the ladder lately, not surprising as it is one of the other popular archetypes, Rakdos sacrifice is still a thing and here is a very well performing decklist

With that out of the way, let us take a look at the current top-performing control decks. Esper has been very popular, Shatter the Skyimage into removing the next creature with Elspeth Conquers Deathimage and then dropping a Dream Trawlerimage had ended many aggro matchups.

Jeskai with the cheaper bord clearing spell Deafening Clarionimage uses the same strategy as Esper with Dream Trawlerimage but also packs the infamous Fires of Inventionimage.

A 5-color deck with Niv-Mizzet Reborn performing well? Yeah, with Fires of Inventionimage everything is possible. This is a really interesting control deck that showed good results in BO1 Events.

At last let us finish off with two different Simic builds, the first one a classic Simic Flash deck

And the last one also a flash deck but with ##Wilderness Reclamation## and ##Nissa, Who Shakes the World##

Ngl rather suprised Azorius Control is not on here
I think people want to play FUN decks in this event, not strong decks.
